KFMO/B104 Radio in Park Hills are raising money through the sale of St Louis Cardinal Baseball Tickets for local Cancer Survivor Kevin Thurman to help with medical expenses.
The Radio Station is selling 300 tickets for the Friday, July 27th game against the Chicago Cubs. The tickets will be sold for $25 each and half the proceeds will go to Kevin and his family. And come out to the game early and root for Kevin as he will be throwing out the first pitch! In the fall of 2017, Kevin was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his sinus cavity. In November, he had a tumor removed from the base of his skull and in 2018 began aggressive treatments in Houston, Texas and completed his 32nd and final radiation treatment on February 16th. Kevin is a 1991 graduate of Mineral Area College and the Director of Development for MAC. He has served the community as part of various organizations over the years and has coached several AA U basketball teams in the area. “Kevin has always thought of others first,” said Vice President and General Manager of MKS Broadcasting Larry Joseph. “because of his work in our community, we decided to help him and his family out through the proceeds of ticket sales.” Tickets are available at Mineral Area College, the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Park Hills – Leadington Chamber of Commerce. B104 Radio has been the home of St Louis Cardinal baseball since 2007. Before that, the Cardinals were on 1240 KFMO since 1983.
