Farmington Residents Higher Heating Bills

(Farmington, MO)Ā Farmington officials are pointing to higher heating bills for residents after our extreme cold temperatures in the Parkland. Farmington City Administrator, Greg Beavers, says those who heat with electricity or natural gas, you can expect a higher utility bill for the next couple of billing cycles. According to Beavers it's just because of using more energy not a raise in rates.

Beavers explains if you're a resident of Farmington, and your bill isn't manageable, call Farmington City at 573-756-2620 during regular business hours to defer payment of part of the higher than normal bill. You can also contact the East Missouri Action Agency for more information on whether or not you qualify for their heating assistance program.
