(Farmington, MO.) An area doctor has a sentencing date set for November 19th after pleading guilty to health care fraud. Prosecutors say Dr. Antoine Adem filed false insurance claims bringing over payments to himself and his company, Midwest Cardiovascular. The business has offices in Festus and Farmington. It's alleged Adem and his company submitted fraudulent claims to Medicaid and Medicare from 2014 to 2018. Adem appeared in court Tuesday. He could face prison time, a fine, or both.
