Budget Shortfall is Large for Missouri

(Jefferson City, MO.) The coronavirus budget shortfall for Missouri is taking a large amount of funding away from many state departments. State Representative, Dale Wright, says lawmakers have their hands full trying to figure out what to do how to balance the budget and have it to the Governor by May 8th.

Wright says some departments will have to be cut more than others.  According to Wright the Governor did not cut funding for K-12 schools, they are set to be fully funded in this budget.
