Buxton Talks About the COVID Cruise

(Park HIlls, MO) The annual fundraiser for the Meals on Wheels Program at the Park HIlls Senior Center is called the COVID Cruise this year. The usual name of the program is Cruisin' for a Cause and it features different activities, food vendors, live music, ands more however this year it's different. Anti coronavirus protocols have left the event with food vendors and  big cruise all slated for Saturday, October 3rd. One of the organizers of the event, and the Executive Director of the Center, Holly Buxton, says they will have plenty of food trucks for cruisers.

According to Buxton they also have the Sweet Alamode food truck in the mix and another food truck, Barn Door Eatery, has just been added to the lineup. Buxton adds since most of the events like the Pit Boss competition, beauty contest, face painting, and all the live music had to be canceled over the coronavirus, they decided to have a Best Dressed Car contest. Categories include the Coolest Vehicle, Best Classic, and Most Elaborate Decor. To have your car judged contact Buxton at 573-431-4974 or message the Cruisin' for A Cause facebook page.
