(Bonne Terre, MO.) The theme for this year's Big River Chautauqua is Thanks for the Memories a signature phrase of one of the entertainers being portrayed this year, Bob Hope. One of the organizers of the historical reenactment of famous figures from the past, Paul Williams, says everything gets underway about 5:30 each evening of the event.
According to Williams this year's performers will include a historical portrayal of TV Newswoman Walter Cronkite, TV Chef Julia Child, and Comedian Bob Hope. The event will be held again under the big tent behind City Hall in Bonne Terre. It's free to attend and it takes place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday July 18th, 19th, and 20th.
