M and A Products Honored at Banquet

(Bonne Terre, MO) M and A Products in Bonne Terre is this year's winner of the KFMO B104 Business Leader of the year Award after Friday night's Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce annual awards banquet. The company produces four lines of rodent control and has expanded it's Bonne Terre Business with a new building. The company began in the basement of Huskey Feed Store in 2014. Mike and Anita Huskey worked with chemist Steven Perry to create a pellet that would essentially dehydrate a mouse/rat from the inside, without harming any other animal or human. It started as a couple pallets of product a week, and by 2015, they were shipping several truck loads a week. Since 2019, M and A Products has added on to its current building, built a new building, and expanded its product line. M and A Products President, Heath Huskey, says their product is popular because it is uniqely friendly to the environment. 

Other awards given out at the meeting included the Chamber's Hometown Hero Award for Bonne Terre Police Chief Doug Calvert, the St. Francois County Rotary's Service Above Self Award, which went to Bonne Terre Mayor Brandon Hubbard, and the Bonne Terre Chamber's Lifetime Hall of Fame award given to Danny House. The Pastor of the Centenary United Methodist Church, Dave Wiant, received the Chamber's Special Award. The KREI KTJJ 110% award was  given to the Bonne Terre Senior Center and the Froggy 96 Elite Service Award was handed out to The North County School District. The Daily Journal Citizen of the Year Award was given to the manager of Bonne Terre Sav A Lot, Clint Price.
