(St. Francois County, MO) Candidates for the April election are looking forward to the vote as filing has ended. There are several contested races in St. Francois County municipalities including a race for the Mayor of Park HIlls. There are four candidates running for the position including former Mayor David Easter, Larry LaChance, Gene Fritsche, and John Clark. For council seats in Park Hills Alan Coleman has filed for reelection to the Ward 1 seat and he'll face Jody Adams. Theresa Naucke and Cindi Penberthy have filed for Ward 3 and Brian Whitfield and John Reeves have filed to run for election to Ward 2. In the Ward 3 race in Bonne Terre. Eric Schonhardt, the incumbent, will face challenger Harold Morgan. In Desloge three people have filed for the mayor's position. They are David Shaw, Tina Kater, and Renee Sadler. Incumbent Ward 3 alderman Jerry Hulsey will face Terry Cole for the seat. Two people have filed for the Mayor of Farmington. They are current Mayor, Larry Forsythe and Charles Lewis. In Leadwood contested races will pit Ed Austin and Dennis Parks against each for Mayor and in Ward 2 Alderman John Vickers will run for reelection. Cindy Davis has also filed for the seat.
