(Farmington, MO.) The area's Leap Day Baby, Blake Boyer, was born to his parents Caitlin Campbell and Colby Boyer, at 11:09 pm Saturday February 29th. Blake weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces and he was the only Leap Day baby born at Parkland. In honor of his Leap Day birthday, the staff at Parkland Health Center presented Blake with a “Leaping into the World” commemorative leap day onesie, along with a frog-themed blanket and certificate. Blake and his parents are from Potosi. Mother and baby Blake are doing well. The delivering physician was Dr. John Cooper. The date comes around once every four years.
