(French Village, MO.) A French Village woman, 44 year old Shannon Aschoff, is in custody after being arrested Monday evening after a traffic stop which was initiated by a Goose Creek police officer. The officer found what he suspected was a pipe bomb. Backup was called in, including a K9 unit. The dog sniffed out the bomb and members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Bomb Squad diffused the device and the investigation began. Aschoff is charged with felony possession of an illegal weapon. She is being held at the St. Francois County jail on a $75,000 bond.
