Washington County Friday Accident

(Washington County, MO.) Two people are recovering from moderate injuries after a traffic accident in Washington County last Friday. According to troopers with the Highway Patrol an S.U.V. driven east on highway 8 at Germania Road, by a 16 year old male juvenile from Farmington, had stopped to make a left turn when a car driven east by 28 year old Charles D. Moentmann of Tiff failed to stop and smashed into the rear of  the S.U.V.  Two passengers in Moentmann's car, 29 year old Heather M. Walney of Newburg and 46 year old Dawn M. Lovett of Mineral Point, were moderately injured. All three were taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital at Potosi. The 16 year old driver of the other vehicle, who was the only one of those involved to be wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
