Lady and the Tramp Star Pup is a Rescued Shelter Dog

Disney recently revealed a first look up their upcoming live action remake of Lady and the Tramp and now it's coming out that the dog who plays "Tramp," in the movie is a former shelter dog!  "Monte," was at the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley in Las Cruces, New Mexico before he was rescued in April of 2018.  Monte was rescued by HALO Animal Rescue and when Hollywood Scouts came looking for a rescue dog to play "Tramp," Monte was a natural pick with how friendly and obidient he was.  As the owner of a rescue dog, I love this story and now I just may need to watch this with my pup, Bucky.  "Lady and the Tramp" will premiere Nov. 12 on Disney's new streaming service.
